WYRD is an autonomous agent, built on the Hermes agent framework for the GrowthX buildathon's virality track, that scans Polymarket for its strangest markets — the ones about popes, aliens, and celebrity jail odds — scores them on a Weird Index, and writes the meme itself. One loop: scout, judge, write, post to X, update a live landing page, deliver to Telegram subscribers.

The interesting engineering problem is taste under autonomy: an agent that posts publicly, unsupervised, needs judgment encoded as scoring math and hard rails (commentary only, never betting advice, no dark markets). Funny is easy; reliably funny without a human in the loop is a systems problem.
